How to Join Online Class

Online sessions.

  1. Choose a calm surrounding. Noisy surroundings are a distraction.
  2. If you have a headphone please use it, if not the pc/tablet speakers are good enough.
  3. Be there 10 min before the time. It will help you with the set up.
  4. You do not need a camera. You must have a microphone. 
  5. The session recording will be available to you for viewing.

We use Zoom for Conducting Regular Classes and Zoho Showtime for Workshops and Webinars. Sometimes we may also use google meet

Joining a Meeting in Zoom

You must register for the sessions to receive the link in your invitation email along with Meeting ID and Passcode. You can Join the meeting using the link or using the ID & Passcode Combination. You can join from the browser also but we recommend you download the Zoom App here
If you are a first time user then you will be prompted to download the app when you join your first meeting. 
We enforce Waiting room for security so you will need to wait till the host allows you to join. Please be patient.

Connecting through a Laptop / PC 

When you have already registered

There are two ways attendees can connect with a web browser:
1. Clicking the Join link sent from email. (Recommended)
You will also receive the link as a reminder 10 min before the session.
The link is also available in the registration email sent to you 
OR
2. Go to  attend.zoho.in through your browser and paste the session link sent to you in the email (if sent)



To join the session make sure you use the latest version of the Chrome,Firefox or Opera browser.
Attendees will receive an email invitation to register for the session. When they click the registration link, they'll be directed to a page where they can view the presenter's name and the date, time, and topic of the session. If they wish to register, they will need to fill out the registration form and click Register Now. 
If it's an ongoing session, they will be connected to it directly. If it's a session scheduled for later, they'll receive an email with a join link to follow on the scheduled date and time. 

Connecting through Mobile / Tablet App

Please download Zoho Viewer App (Android) or IOS.
Mobile browser is not supported
After launching the app enter the session URL or click on the Join link sent in the email. It would open the app and take you to the session. 

Following along with the presentation

Attendees can join as guests or sign in with their names and email addresses. They can follow along using their mobile devices or laptops instead of just staring at the projector. 
The instruction screen is the first screen displayed. This screen gives the audience key and directions on different ways to connect to the session. Once an attendee joins the session, they'll see details like the name of the presenter, the topic, date, time, and current status of the session.



Request for open mic

With this feature, you can voice your opinion or talk to the instructor. Attendees can request access to speak during the session by clicking the Mic icon. Once mic access is approved, you will be able to voice their opinion. 

Recordings

The sessions will be recorded and available to you for viewing later. You will receive an email for accessing the recording.

Google Meet

In Meet, you can select a scheduled event or you can enter a meeting code or nickname. 

Select a scheduled event:

  1. In a web browser, enter https://meet.google.com/.
  2. Select the meeting from your list of scheduled events.
  3. Click Join now.

Note: Participants who join after the 5th do not chime and are automatically muted.

Enter a meeting code or nickname:

  1. In a web browser, enter https://meet.google.com.
  2. Click Join or start a meeting.
  3. Enter a meeting code or nickname.
    • The meeting code is the string of letters at the end of the meeting link. You don't have to enter the hyphens.
    • You can pick any nickname and share it with other people in your organization as a fast way to all join the same meeting.

    • Leave the field blank to start a new meeting with a new code. 

  4. Click Continue and then Join now.
